ABOUT THE POET – AUTHOR
For thirty-two years, Clifford Bennett served in two Long Island pubic school systems as the; director of student support services, special and health education, middle school principal, high school assistant principal, science department chairperson, teacher of science, and coach. He received his professional diploma from Queens College (CUNY), and his master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Hofstra University. Cliff served as an adjunct instructor at Hofstra University from 1961 to 1969, and was an adjunct assistant professor of education and field supervisor of student teachers at Dowling College for ten years after his retirement from public education in 1991.
He has presented workshops at national, state, and local levels on prevention of self-defeating behaviors, stress management and personal growth, wellness-holistic health, and dynamics of self-esteem. He has published twenty-seven articles on educational and mental health issues in numerous professional journals, and the author of Challenging Choices – Welcome Life’s Invitations to Increase your Vision, Create Space, 2011, Amazon.com, Kindle.
He is father of four children and grandfather of eight. He resides in Holbrook, New York, and Estero, Florida, with his wife, Judy. His hobbies include all outdoor activities, especially, gardening, fishing, golf, as well as reading and writing poetry.
