Helen James & The Yunkery Problem
Little did 8 year old Helen James realise but her life was about to change for ever for far across the universe are a being called the 'Visitants' and they have selected Helen a 'Good'.
The 'Visitants' are a blue haze and they patrol the universe seeking out Galaxies, Star systems or Planets that are nearing destruction but are physically unable to solve these problems. For this they have identified 5 beings, from all corners of the universe that they call 'Goods'. It is these beings who are brought in to put things right.
One of these 'Goods' has passed away so a search is made to find a replacement. One is found in the Milky Way Galaxy on the planet Earth and this was Helen James.
Although Zacred, the leader of the 'Visitants', was against using such a young being there came a time when she was expected to carry out her first mission and this was to the Yunkery Star system. The problem was bullying and millions of lives were at risk unless the 'Good' could stop it.
It was the duty of Hyming, one of the 'Visitants', to collect Helen and take her on missions to the far reaches of the universe and, once the mission was completed, return her back to where he found her.
Helen lived with her widowed mother and older sister Jenny, because she had not eaten the cauliflower on her dinner plate she had been sent to the naughty step and it was here that Hyming found his 'Good'.
Before Helen knew what was happening she had been surrounded by the blue haze and spirited out of the house and up into the sky. The one thing that worried Helen most was not flying across the Milky Way at a tremendous speed but how angry her mother would be with her if she was not sat on the naughty step.
Hyming reassured her that he would have her back home before her mother knew she was missing.
Throughout this mission Hyming left a thin film of himself around Helen so that it would protect her from the environments she would encounter on the various planets she would be visiting and allow her to communicate with the beings on the planets.
When the mission was over Hyming returned Helen to her home on Earth but was he in time and how much more trouble was Helen in?
