The poems in this book have been compiled from 1996 through 2003 and were given to me in my times of trials and struggles. They both comforted me and brought hope into my life. After some encouragement from my husband, friends and family, this book is finally coming to fruition. The publishing of this book is both an ending and a beginning. It is the end of a time of doubt as to my God given purpose in life and it is the beginning of a joyful journey into the depths of that purpose. I am both blessed and inspired by the publishing of this book. And I hope that everyone who reads these poems will find God’s wisdom, peace and love in every word!

I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio and at the age of 23 I joined the United States Air Force where I was on active duty until 1995. I have been living in the St. Louis, MO area for the past 26 years where I came to have a personal relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in 1988. It has been a journey of highs and lows and God has blessed me tremendously! In that time, I gave birth to my two wonderful sons and I married Howard A. Whitener II who had 3 sons and 3 daughters to add to my blessings. Howard and I have been married since August 10, 2002 and we are still on our honeymoon and look forward to many more marvelous years together! We also have 8 beautiful grand children!
