Of Plymouth Plantation is a journal compiled over many years by William Bradford, the leader of Massachusetts' Plymouth Colony. It is widely regarded as the most reliable account of the Pilgrims and the early years of the colony they established. The journal was written between 1630 and 1651 and tells the story of the Pilgrims beginning in 1608, when they settled in the Dutch Republic on the European mainland, and continuing through the 1620 Mayflower voyage to the New World until 1647. The book concludes with a list of Mayflower passengers and what happened to them by 1651. Also included in this edition is the Mayflower Compact.
