About the Author

Heinrich Heim (1900-1988) was a NSDAP Minister's Council member and party lawyer who worked as an aide to Hitler's personal assistant Martin Bormann. He was tasked with keeping notes of Hitler's conversations from July 1941 to mid-March 1942, and August-September 1942.

Henry Picker (1912-1988) was a lawyer who was appointed to the legal staff attached to Hitler's headquarters in 1942. became 1942 became a senior executive and legal staff member in the Führer Headquarters. He, along with Heim, was responsible for taking the notes of Hitler's conversations from March to August 1942.

Martin Bormann (1900-1945) was a senior NSDAP official and Head of the Party Chancellery in Berlin. As such, he acted as Hitler's personal secretary. He was responsible for taking the notes of Hitler's conversations for the periods not covered by Heim and Picker.
