CHAPTER 1
At a grocery store; a short, very pretty, blondish-haired girl is heading to the back with a float. A very heavy woman calls out to her and the girl turns back, smiling.
"Don't you need a coat?" The woman asks.
"I'll be fine." The girl replies.
"Lindsery, the freezer is set at thirty degrees?" The woman says. "Are you sure you don't need a coat? Kid, you're wearing short sleeves? You'll be freezing."
"Trust me, Lulu, I won't mind." The 19-year-old Lindsery replies.
Lindsery continues on. A very short, blondish-haired assistant manager walks up to the dumbfounded heavy-set woman.
"She'll be okay, Lulu." The 30-year-old woman says. "I know you just started, but Lindsery goes into the freezer all of the time without a coat or a long-sleeve shirt. She's going to be fine."
"But how do you know?" Asks the woman.
"If I tell you a secret, will you promise not to spread it?" The woman asks.
"Yes, Tara." The woman says.
"Lindsery's my little sister." Tara replies.
"But how can the two of you work here?" Lulu asks. "In most stores, supervisors aren't allowed to be over their siblings?"
"They aren't." Tara says. "That's why it is a secret. It isn't a policy for this store; but the store owner told us to keep it as secret as possible. It is a family owned store. This is the only store. It isn't ran like the chain stores."
Lulu glances at where six girls are working at cash registers and then past them at where a few more are stocking groceries. She returns her attention to Tara.
"Aren't the triplets Lindsery's sisters, too?" Lulu asks, looking at where a petite brunette and two petite blonde-haired girls are running registers.
"Yes." Tara says, smiling. "And before you ask, so are the twins and quite a few of the others."
Lulu's eyes lock on two fairly tall, very slim blonde-haired girls. She glances past them at where two brown-haired girls are running more of the registers.
"I thought Jaycie and Kenzie were the sisters of Katie and Kristen?" Lulu asks.
"They are." Tara says, smiling brightly. "There are twelve of us that work here. Lindsery, the triplets, the twins, Katie, Kristen, Nicole, Angel and Chasity are all my sisters."
"How can all of you work at the same store?" Lulu asks. "How can the ownership not know that you are sisters?"
"Lulu, this is the only store!" Tara says. "Believe me, the owner of this store knows we are sisters!"
"And he allows it?" Lulu asks.
"Don't you know who the store owner is?" Tara asks.
"All I know is that his first name is Benward." Lulu replies.
"Yes, it is Benward Icean." Tara replies, smiling.
"Icean?" Lulu gasps, looking at the petite brunette that is one of the triplets. "Like Kaley, Kylie and Airey?"
"And the twins, Lindsery, Angel, Chasity, Nicole, Katie and Kristen." Tara replies.
"But you're last name ..." Lulu starts.
"Is Frostia." Tara says. "My husband died three years ago. He was melt ... um, he had heat-stroke and died."
"Are any of the other employees related to you?" Lulu asks.
"No." Tara replies. "The twelve of us are all that's here. Dad had twenty-one kids, but the rest don't work here."
"Twenty-one? Good Lord, that's a lot of kids!" Lulu replies. "And aren't some of them the same age? Are they twins or triplets, too?"
"No. It is kind of hard to explain." Tara replies.
"But who has twenty-one kids?" Lulu asks, almost in disbelief. "That's unheard of?"
"Like I said, everything is hard to explain. According to dad, it isn't weird where he's from." Tara says. "Now, I have work to do as do you."
"One more question, where is he from?" Lulu asks.
"A long ways off." Tara says, as somebody calls for her over the store intercom. "We'll talk on your lunch hour. I've got to see what is going on at the meat department."
In the freezer, the S' Lindsery is loading some boxes with baking goods. She turns back to grab a box on a higher shelf and the door slams shut!
"Alright, quit playing around." Lindsery says, not looking back at the closed door. "I am already behind. I have work to do. I don't know which sister this is, but I don't have time to play right now."
No one answers and Lindsery turns around, frustrated. A being with blue skin, a silver suit and icicles for hair stands before her. The being aims a blue pistol-shaped weapon at her Lindsery screams and the being laughs at her.
"Scream all you want, kid." The being says. "Help is not coming."
Lindsery tries to bulrush her way through the much larger being, only to hit against him and fall back on her bottom. She looks up at him, terror in her eyes.
"What are you?" Lindsery asks.
"A Polaran." The being replies. "And you can scream all you want. I formed a polar barrier between here and the front of the store. Screams, any noise, has a hard time penetrating that type of invisible barrier.
Lindsery again screams! The being takes a torn shirt from his pants' pocket and starts cutting a strip of cloth off of it with a knife made of ice. He drops the shirt beside of Lindsery and then hands her the length of cloth. Lindsery's eyes lock on where blood is on the shirt just above the length he cut off.
"That's right, kid; someone got in my way and paid for it." The being says. "Now, gag yourself!"
Lindsery hesitates and the being fires the laser-weapon. A patch of ice hits the floor to the left of Lindsery.
"I know ice cannot hurt you in most instances." The being replies. "Since you are from Icea, ice is a benefit to you; but if I freeze your head, it will kill you! Iceans have to be able to breath!"
Lindsery nods her head. She gags herself, pulling the cloth gag deep into her mouth and tying the ends at the back of her head. She watches as the being pulls some rope from his pockets. Lindsery, wearing a ball-cap with her blonde pony-tail coming out the back of it, looks up at the being with fear.
"Stand up and put your hands behind your back!" The being demands.
Lindsery, trying not to cry, does as she is told. The being wraps the rope around her wrists, tying them behind her. He turns her to him.
The being opens the door and forces Lindsery into a lobby area near a set of restrooms. Tara, tied and gagged similar to Lindsery, is forced over to her. Another of the Polarans now stands in front of the two helpless girls. The one that captured Lindsery motions towards a metal bench that sits against the wall.
"We'll tie their feet and capture the rest." The Polarans says.
"All of them?" Asks yet another Polaran as it walks into the area.
A fourth Polaran forces in a beautiful, petite, brown-haired 23-year-old girl. He shoves the bound and gagged brunette onto a bench and starts wrapping an icy rope around the girl's ankles, as he looks back at the other Polarans.
Lindsery and Tara sympathetically look at the crying Nicole, the brunette, and then curiously turn to the alien that is tying Nicole's ankles.
"She had a woman with her that was not one of the princesses." The Polaran says. "I made her friend tie her up and then I killed her friend."
Tara angrily steps towards the alien and another of the Polarans restrains her. He forces the petite Tara to the bench and quickly ties her ankles. The Polaran that caught Lindsery grabs her by her bound arms and forces her into the main part of the store.
"We can use this one to confront the other employees." The Polaran says. "By using her against them, we can get them to surrender easier."
"General Polarus, should some of us stay behind with the other prisoners?" Asks one of the Polarans.
"Yes, that would be wise." General Polarus says, as he forces Lindsery down an aisle that is lined with dairy products "Any of the ones that we haven't identified as Benward's daughters, kill them! I want the daughters alive! If any of you kill one of the daughters, that Polaran will be executed."
A beautiful, fairly tall brunette suddenly comes out of one of the bathrooms. She is about to cry out when a Polaran grabs her and quickly covers her mouth. Polarus turns back to them and glares at the girl. He takes a small box with a video screen from his right pocket and aims it straight for the girl. A reddish light hits the S'6", 19-year-old in the forehead and the box makes a beeping noise.
"She is one of the princesses!" General Polarus says. "Tie her up and gag her!"
The brunette breaks loose and tries to run, only to find herself surrounded by more of the Polarans. One of them grabs her arms and forces them behind her back. She struggles to get loose just as another Polaran puts his weapon to the right side of her head.
"Let them tie you up or you die." Polarus threatens.
Darcy, the brunette, stops her struggling. She glances back at where the other Polaran is tying her wrists behind her with rope. She glances over at where Tara is worriedly watching from the bench.
"Gag her when you are through and don't forget to tie her legs!" General Polarus demands. "She is a feisty one."
Darcy glares at Polarus as another Polaran pulls a length of cloth in her mouth and gags her. Polarus shoves Lindsery to the bench and grabs Darcy by her shoulders. The brown-eyed Darcy's defiant glare changes to fear. Polarus motions at the petite Lindsery.
"Tie that one's ankles!" Polarus demands, grabbing Darcy and forcing her down the dairy aisle. "This one is a better hostage. She is taller and larger than the runt. I'll take her instead."
Behind a meat cooler that sits in the center of the back aisle; the tiny, blonde-haired, 16-year-old Airey is watching what is going on. The scared girl sits down on the floor and pulls her cell-phone out of the back pocket of her tight jeans. She dials it and a male voice comes on the other end.
"Daddy, this is Airey." Airey frightfully says. "Blue skinned things have caught four of us. They tied up Nicole, Darcy, Lindsery and Tara." "
I'll be there, soon." The voice says. "Airey, try and hide. Whatever you do, don't fight them. If they find you, just give up."
"Daddy, I don't want to be tied up." Airey cries.
"They'll kill you if you try and fight them." The voice replies. "Give up if you have to. You're tiny. Find somewhere to hide, if you can."
Airey nods her head. She hangs up her phone and peeks back around the corner of the cooler. Two of the Polarans are standing over the terrified girl. They grab the barely one-hundred pound Airey off of the floor and drag her back to where Lindsery and Tara are tied up. Airey cries, as her hands are forced behind her back and tied.
At the end of the dairy aisle, Polarus grabs Darcy and forces her to the floor. He glances around the corner of the aisle to see Lulu checking out two female customers. Lulu suddenly spots Polarus and screams! Polarus forms a spear made of ice in his hands and slings the spear into Lulu's chest! The female customers turn to run and he opens fire with his ice-laser and freezes them solid!
Polarus grabs Darcy off of the floor and forces her out into the open, a knife made of ice against her throat. Some of the customers and employees try to flee out the doors, just as six more of the Polarans enter the front door, firing their lasers and killing three men and three older women. Polarus turns his weapon on the five cashiers at the front of the store.
"Please don't shoot!" A pretty, S' blonde-haired girl pleads.
One of Polarus' soldiers grabs the five-foot-tall, 16-year-old Kaley and forces her over to Polarus. Polarus points the video box at her forehead and the box dings. Polarus nods his head. Before Kaley can speak, the Polaran gags her with a length of cloth and then forces her hands behind her back.
"That is the second of the three girls that are Benward's triplets." Polarus says. "The third one has ten seconds to come to me."
Polarus starts counting down from ten. He reaches two and fires an ice-laser into a male customer, killing him!
"You didn't get to zero!" A fairly tall, skinny brunette screams. "Are you the triplet?" Polarus asks.
"No, I'm just one of her sisters." The girl replies. "I'm Angel."
"Tie that one up!" Polarus demands, pointing at Angel.
A Polaran grabs Angel, just as she is about to run. He forces the struggling girl's hands behind her back and ties them. Polarus turns his weapon on another of the customers.
The beautiful, S'2", brown-haired Kylie hurries out from behind her cash register. She raises her hands and walks over to Polarus, her legs literally shaking from fear. Polarus puts the barrel of his weapon against her forehead, as tears start to come from Kylie's brown eyes.
"I should kill you for not coming out when I demanded it!" Polarus threatens. "Be glad you are valuable. Now, hands behind your back, little girl."
Kylie puts her hands behind her, crying as she does. Another Polaran ties them there. The Polaran gags the crying Kylie and pushes her aside.
"My men and I have been staking out this store for a few days. I know, for a fact, that there are twelve daughters of King Benward that work here. I have already taken seven of you. I want the other five!"
A very beautiful, S'4", very slim, brown-haired, 17-year-old steps out. One of the Polarans walks up to her with a length of rope. Katie, the 17-year-old, lowers her head and puts her hands behind her back. She glances back at where a shorter 22-year-old brunette is standing at the end of an aisle. Kristen, the 22-year-old, nods her head and walks up beside of Katie, putting her hands behind her as she does.
"We're two of them." Kristen announces. "Jaycie, Kenzie; get over here! We can't let people die because of us."
Two fairly tall blondes, one skinny and one slim and shapelier, walk up to the front of the store. A Polaran grabs the skinnier Kenzie and forces her hands behind her back. A second Polaran walks up behind the second, slightly larger blonde. Jaycie frightfully puts her hands behind her back and the alien starts tying them.
"There is one more!" Polarus angrily says. "Where is she?"
The sisters look around for their remaining sister, not finding her. Polarus nods his head to the aliens and they open fire, killing five of the customers. Angel cries out for the aliens to stop.
"Where is the other sister?" Polarus angrily says. "We will kill everyone here if she doesn't appear."
"Chasity!" Angel screams. "Get your butt out here!"
The missing girl remains hidden. Polarus fires at a small, ten-year-old girl and kills her. Darcy, still being held by Polarus, angrily struggles against him.
"Why don't we just kill every one of them?" One of the Polaran's asks.
"The daughters are valuable." Polarus says. "We kill them and King Pole will execute all of us."
"I was talking about the customers." The Polaran replies
"Run!" Katie screams, getting between the Polaran and a young woman.
The Polaran backhands Katie, sending her flying against one of the glass doors at the front of the store. The woman hurries down an aisle, ice-lasers hitting behind her. Two middle-aged men are killed, as Kristen tries to run into one of the Polarans with her small body. The
Polaran cracks his gun against the back of Kristen's head, knocking her out.
Kaley is shoved into Kylie and both girls fall to the floor. Kaley looks back just as a Polaran kicks Kaley in the right side of her head, knocking her out.
"Kill the Earth humans! Find the other daughter!" Polarus demands.
In the store's meat department, a petite, brown-haired girl is hiding beneath a butcher table. The girl cries, softly, as she can hear the screaming coming from outside of the meat department.
CHAPTER 2At a more than S,000 square foot house; a large man, dressed completely in black, hurries down the winding staircase on the outside of his home and towards a black Chevrolet Suburban. He has a bluish- colored rifle slung over his shoulder and two ice-blue colored pistols in his hands. A large Chevrolet truck pulls up in the drive behind his vehicle. A large man, dressed in jeans, a plaid shirt and a cowboy hat; and a shorter man, dressed similar to the first man, come out of the truck.
"What's going on?" The larger of the two men asks.
"Airey just called from the store on Jack Street. She said blue- skinned creatures had attacked and captured some of my girls." The first man replies.
"Benward, if they are blue-skinned ..." The cowboy starts.
"I know. That means the Polarans or Freezalians found the worm- holes we went through when we left Pangea." Benward replies. "Rosco, Rondean, if they are here, your families need to be warned."
"We'll warn them on the way to the store." Rosco, the large cowboy garbed man, says. "You're going to need our help."
