About the Author

Mack Payne is a native born Floridian who has owned and operated small businesses in Florida for over twenty five years after a twelve year period of US Army service as an officer in the field artillery.

The time in the Army afforded Mack an opportunity to learn more about himself and the world after obtaining a business degree from the University of Florida.

Mack served two years in Viet Nam, one as a cobra gunship pilot. Along the way, he earned a masters degree in management, and graduated from the US Army Command and General Staff College.

After leaving active duty in 1979, Mack embarked on a career of starting successful businesses. This was done with a lack of capital and expertise, which enrolled him in the toughest school of all: The School of Hard Knocks.

He successfully graduated in the fields of cultured marble and bottled water. Mack found time to serve in various official positions in trade organizations, and he was active in the local Toastmasters Club as a speaker and officer. He was elected to the East Naples Fire District Commission.
