“How to Create a Magical Relationship” takes the Kanes “3 Principles of Instantaneous Transformation” and directly applies them to relationships. This easy to read “How-to” manual lays out a roadmap to achieve gratifying, fulfilling relationships. It provides useful insights to the pitfalls and prejudices each of us has, which sabotage how we relate to the world around us. And with Awareness and True Listening, this guide shows how any relationship, whether with yourself, with others, or the universe, can be complete and fully satisfying. Two thumbs up for this GREAT read!

This is one of my favorite books! I’ve read it twice and now I’ll just pick it up to read small sections of it. This book does wonders. The way I relate to people, not just in my romantic relationships but everywhere in my life has completely changed. I can really be with people not to try and get somewhere or drive towards an agenda but because it feels good to just stop and connect with people. This is something that I now practice daily and it’s surprising how nice it feels to connect with the person at Starbucks even if it’s just for a second. I walk out of the store and say “Wow! Life is a miracle!”

This is the kind of book you'll never want to put down. Instead of making goals or plans or trying to fix anything, How to Create a Magical Relationship delivers by explaining three simple principles for your relationships and really for your life. Sounds deceptively simple right? After finishing this book I couldn't help but feel amazing. The principles work. I felt my heart opening ever wider with each page. I loved reading real people's stories and learning about their experiences. The Kanes use real-life anecdotes mixed with thoughtful explanations to open up new choices in our lives. In the year since I first purchased this book every relationship in my life has gotten continually juicier, richer and ever more full. I'm still reaping the benefits! This book has been the magic bullet for me, no working on myself required.

No rules or games -- but plenty of awareness & magic! This book has had such a profound effect on my life and my relationships. And I keep coming back to these pages for more! I've just read it for the 3rd time and still had so many moments where I laughed and thought, "Wow! I never realized I did that." Ariel & Shya Kane take you through their principles of Instantaneous Transformation, while giving real life examples from their own lives, as well as from lives of friends, family, acquaintances, and strangers. At the end of each section, they suggest simple exercises that you can do while going about your daily life to start bringing more awareness to different aspects of how you relate. And I can say from personal experience that these exercises are fun and often surprising! During my latest read-through, I particularly enjoyed the section about the Gender Wars. So eye-opening! The Kanes give so many wonderful examples of how seemingly normal, harmless, and even expected comments & thoughts can be incredibly divisive. Even if you think you don't subscribe to the Gender Wars or the Battle of the Sexes, you may end up discovering things you do that have deep effects on your relationships with your partner, your family & friends, strangers, and yourself.  And the Kanes invite you to have a gentle laugh when you see these things in yourself -- it's like going on an adventure of self-discovery where you're allowed to have fun, rather than judging yourself for what you find.  In this book, you won't get quick tips for how to play mind games with your partner, and you won't find "rules" about how men and women should behave in relationships. But if you're ready to become aware of your own patterns and ways of relating, this book is a beautiful way to do just that.

My partner and I both read this book and are stunned by how peaceful, happy, and FUN our home life has become. Ariel and Shya's Three Principles of Transformation are easy to understand and to apply in our day-to-day lives. We are truly listening to each other these days, which has led to mutual understanding and deepened friendship between us. We don't argue about things any more and are supporting each other's ideas in a way that feels enjoyable, not like a chore. Snarky joking has transformed into a loving way of being together. Highly recommended for all couples who want to sweeten their interactions. (By the way, I read the book first, a month before my partner did, and the transformations began happening even when I was the only one applying the 3 Principles. This book truly IS magical!)

How to Create a Magical Relationship is a great book. I have read all 3 of the Kane’s books and the Magical Relationship book is my favorite. The Kanes have an insight into how individuals, like me, think that I have not come across before. I have recommended the book to friends and family members. Below is a quote from page 21 that is just one of the many nuggets of wisdom or basic truths that are in the book “If our work were based on anything, it would be based in not punishing yourself for being yourself and not having to change or fix yourself to try to fit some kind of ideal you’ve been taught as to how you are supposed to be.” Ariel and Shya show that healthy relationships are possible and within reach. I find that possibility refreshing and encouraging. The bottom line is that all of my relationships have improved as a result of reading this book. Get a copy today.

Relating to people had always been a struggle for me. I always felt that I was no good at relationships and that something was wrong with me. The Kanes' style of story telling and practical guidance has really helped me see new possibilities in all aspects of my life and especially around love relationships. Taking an anthological approach to my life and how I relate, I am really able to see and let go of behaviors that have been detrimental to having a truly blissful relationship. After reading this book and living a lifestyle of "being here", I truly feel that having a Magical Relationship is now a possibility for me.

Being there for yourself is the most important relationship one has. If you miss that then you miss being in relationship with others. One thing I learned is that every encounter is a mini date and I now treat every person as the special person they are. We laugh, we flirt and that makes the relationship richer...whether it’s 2 minutes in passing or a lifetime. I am more open and more giving. I ask myself, what can I do that would make this person’s life easier, better in the moment. It’s amazing what life gives back to you when you think of others. Thank you Ariel and Shya for bringing to my attention the idea of mini dates. It has so made my life an adventure no matter who I am with.

If there was only one book I could convince every person in the world to read, this would be the book. This book has the power to transform the world. That power comes from listening - truly listening to someone to hear what he or she is saying from his or her perspective. Thus, while listening to the person, you are not looking to see whether you agree or disagree, you are not deciding what you are going to say in response, and you are not even looking to see if you already know what he or she is saying. You are listening as if hearing something for the very first time. Mechanical, inherited behaviors may pop up and impede the listening process, but just notice them, and allow them to be, and continue listening. Such a simple, sweet idea. And let me say, it works! But this book offers even more to its readers than a magical lesson in listening. It offers the potential for developing the beautiful, sweet, intimate relationships with everyone in your life, including, importantly, yourself. By applying the principles of transformation, which are fully explained as concepts but also through anecdotes offered by the Kanes, you can let go of past experiences, learned behaviors, and fear to live an easy, fun, and happy life. As you expand and bloom, your relationships will expand and bloom with you. My first long term relationship resulted in marriage, but the marriage ended in divorce. After that experience, I was scared of dating, relationships, and intimacy. But through the Kanes’ approach of observing my behaviors in a nonjudgmental manner, I was able to notice all the ways I had tied myself up with fear and hurtful memories of my past. As I stepped into the present moment and really lived with a sense of nonjudgmental awareness, the fear and hurt dissolved because I was no longer viewing my life through the experiences of my past. I found myself free, energized, and excited by the idea of a special relationship. I began dating and was discovered how much fun dating was! (Really!). And now, I’m in a loving relationship with a very special person. Thank you, Ariel and Shya, from the bottom of my heart, for showing me the possibilities of instantaneous transformation.

I love this book! This book transformed my relationship with myself and in turn all of my relationships. I never thought it was possible to be in love with my life, but I am discovering every day that it is possible.

This book talks a lot about "transformation" instead of "change". On page 20, the book says that "Tranformation is simply a word we use to describe what happens when you discover how to live in the moment." The authors talk about how to be aware, or to see non-judgementally, to understand how you are as a person. There area 3 Princples of Transformation that the authors come back to a lot. I won't list what they are, because I don't want to give the book away, but they make sense. I found this book to be okay. I feel that it was more a book to become aware of yourself rather than really a book on relationships. Honestly, through a lot of the book I was going "huh?". There was one part of the book that talked about looking at your views of the opposite sex and noticing all of the times that you talk negatively about them. But I think that some of the examples were too strict. Sometimes things are just said teasingly and just in fun. Not everything in life should be so serious! I did really like the part about trying to live in the moment. If there was one thing that I will definitely take away from this book, its just trying to stay in the present. I always worry too much and look into the past or the future, but I need to learn just to live in the now!
