My latest passion has become the study of hypnosis, so I've started devouring every book I can get my hands on. I loved the simplicity of this book. It was short and easy to follow, so I could start practising what I learned from it straight away. I'm far from perfecting this skill, but I have a much better understanding of what I need to do now. It has really good advice for when you start working with other people about how to put them at ease and explain what you will be doing with them. It covers important concepts, such as how fast you should talk and the tone of your voice, as well as having a solid plan for your therapy session. I've learnt that my communication skills will need to be spot on before working with people, as they are an essential base for any session to work. It clears up the common myth that when you are hypnotized, you are under the other person's control; something really good to explain to clients when you first meet them. If you started out like me with very little knowledge and many wrong misconceptions about hypnosis, you'll love this book.
Interesting book. I recommend this book to anyone who is curious about hypnosis or considering undergoing hypnosis.
