About the Author

Sheila Sharp is more than just a survivor. Her story of childhood sexual abuse, a pregnancy at the tender age of 13, and being the oldest surviving member of the Sharp family who was murdered in Quincy California in 1981 would have mentally crippled most of us for life. Yet, from the unbearable depths of her overwhelming grief, anger, and a life in ruin she found the courage to live a life of great mental and spiritual fulfillment. She holds a technical degree as a Micro-computer application specialist, and is a project coordinator for one of the largest construction companies in the United States. She is the mother of two adult sons and the ecstatic grandmother of a new baby boy who was born in March of 2012. Her interests include traveling, fishing, and community charity events.

Sifu Richard Whittle is an inspirational speaker and motivator on the subjects of addiction and personal fulfillment. He is a Professor of Martial Arts Instruction with more than 30 years practicing, and teaching various martial arts methods from around the world. Sifu Whittle is a comfortable and proficient teacher either one on one, or as the host of a large seminar of students. His spiritual philosophy derives from both eastern and western ideologies that He has studied at great length. Having suffered from the disease of addiction in his early life, Sifu Whittle offers a unique perspective to addiction recovery, and the pitfalls of the issues that surround the condition. He has experience both on the radio and on television in commercials promoting various projects, and is a co-star of two national infomercials. His interests include the fishing, boating, and woodworking.
