A group of former Navy SEALS, the Alpha Pack is a top secret team of wolf shifters with Psy powers combating the greatest dangers in the world. And when the battle gets personal, their wild side is unleashed….
Ryon Hunter sees dead people—spirits that beg him for help in ways he can’t understand. He’d do anything to end the torment, until a beautiful spirit appears to him with a plea he can’t ignore: Help me…I’m alive. The woman is wildlife biologist Daria Bradford, mortally wounded after encountering a white wolf, calling to Ryon through a rare Psy gift.
When Ryon locates Daria in the Shoshone National Park, it is almost too late, but nursing her back to health at the Alpha Pack compound brings a new complication—Daria is his destined mate, and Ryon is afraid of what will happen when she discovers what he is, and what he had to do to save her life. But the biggest threat of all is still loose in the forest, leaving a merciless trail of death behind it. The Alpha Pack goes on the hunt for the mysterious white wolf, determined to stop the murderous rogue… only to find that the most lethal creature of all is the one they can’t see coming…

What People are Saying About This

From the Publisher

Praise for Hunter's Heart

“Fast-paced with a great sense of adventure, as only sexy psychic Navy SEALs turned wolf shifters can provide. The characters have a complexity that brings depth to the story, but the passion between Ryon and Daria makes for a particularly hot read.”—Romantic Times

“Starting a new series smack dab in the middle nearly gives this reader heart palpitations because you know that a world takes time to build, characters are fleshed out, back story is told and you have none of that. However sometimes you are granted a true work of storytelling genius that truly makes a book in a series not require all of the above.  And that is what we are gifted with in Hunter’s Heart. A story that doesn’t require a reader to know anything except that this is a Paranormal Romance with amazing characters, wonderful drama and a clear vision for where it is going to take you. . .Final word on this book: Get It Right Now! Paranormal Romance at the top of its game.”—

Praise for the Alpha Pack Series

“I can’t wait for Tyler’s next Alpha Pack adventure!”—New York Times bestselling author Angela Knight
“Kept me riveted from start to finish.”—Night Owl Reviews
“You will fall in love with Kalen if you weren’t already.”—Under The Covers

Ryon's story was good, but not my favorite. Not that fond of Daria. Lots of action and it moves the series along. Worth the purchase for that alone.

REVIEW PROVIDED BY: Kelly  NUMBER OF STARS:  3 3/4 REVIEW: Ryon’s gift of seeing spirits has always been troublesome for him.  But when Daria’s spirit calls out for help Ryon can not just sit there and do nothing.   He has to save her.  He is not totally sure why just yet, and of course Nick is not saying, but Ryon knows he has to reach her before it is too late and save her by any means necessary.  Even if that means by taking this chance might mean he could lose everything.  Hunter’s Heart opens up more questions than it gives answers to what really happened to the Alpha Pack the night they were attacked.  But they do learn that it was not random.  That it was a carefully executed plan of attack.  And Daria’s uncle was one of the top rink leaders.  I really enjoyed Ryon & Daria’s story.  I always love a visit to the Alpha Pack and really can’t wait to see what JD has in store for the Pack next. Hunter's Heart is an exciting mix of romance, suspense, and lots of great paranormal danger! Ryon and Daria are perfect for each other, and we also get updates on our favorite heroes and tantalizing glimpses of what's to come. I can't wait for Zander's story!

I have really enjoyed the Alpha Pack series but I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the others. It started off good but I thought Ryon and Daria became physically intimate WAY too fast. It was so fast, in fact, that their passion wasn’t believable to me. Yes, they are mates but even the mating process has an incubation period before jumping in the sack together. I felt the development of the relationship between Ryon and Daria wasn’t smooth. I found myself flipping back pages because it felt like I missed something. I was also surprised that Ryon’s psychic gift didn’t play a bigger part in the book. What I did enjoy about the book was reading about the secondary characters. I would love a Phoenix and Noah story! I was also intrigued towards the end of the book when a bit of information was revealed indicating a setup six years ago when Ryon and the others were ambushed in Afghanistan. I’m definitely looking forward to see how this development unfolds! Also, at the end of the book we get a small glimpse into what is going to happen in the next book. Apparently, someone has it in for Nick Westfall, leader of the Alpha Pack! I can’t wait to start Cole’s book!

This book was ok.I have read all the other books so I read this one.It fell short I felt like 2 people wrote this story. I don't know that I even liked Ryon and Daria. They just didn't connect for me.Hopefully the next one will be better. If u have read the other ones read this one.

I am not sure why there are so many reviews saying they didn’t care for Daria but I liked her and I liked this story. I could understand her being upset to what Ryon had to do…with that said I don’t think that Ryon’s character was as well developed as the others which is why I only gave this one 3 stars. I can’t wait for the series to continue.

I have to admit, after reading Black Moon, the third book in J.D. Tyler's Alpha Pack series, and being severely disappointed, I was a little concerned. After all, Kalen Black was my favorite of the Alpha Pack, and his story not only fell flat but seemed off from the rest of the series. I shouldn't have been worried. Ryon and Daria were great together (even if they did do things backwards) and Hunter's Heart got the Alpha Pack series back on track. As with the other books in the series, Hunter's Heart had a lot of action. Difference is, this time instead of being stuck with the Unseelie King (thank the Gods) we are dealing with the fallout from the conspiracy surrounding the Alpha Pack. There is a beast roaming the Shoshone National Park and brutally slaughtering people. Ryon, while laying in bed suffering from injuries sustained during battle with a bunch of rogue vampires, is visited by a beautiful woman asking for help. She is out in the Shoshone and is injured, if he doesn't save her she will die. Daria Bradford is different than the other heroines in the Alpha Pack world. For one, she's a wildlife biologist studying natural wolves (which is hella cool) but most importantly, she has gifts. Not only does she have visions, she can also astral project. In other words, she'll fit right in with the Alpha Pack. That is IF she can deal with the changes in her life. Poor Ryon is in for it. Hunter's Heart was a quick, action-packed read which was not only super smexy, but also got one of my favorite paranormal romance series back on track. I look forward to learning more about the mysterious white wolf introduced in Hunter's Heart and what impact she will have in Cole's Redemption. *COPY PROVIDED BY AUTHOR IN EXCHANGE FOR HONEST REVIEW*
