She is an author who wrote James’ Courageous Act and is continuing with the series on James’ journey, “ Born to Run.” She is currently working with the New York City Department of Education as an Assistant Director. She has dedicated her life to helping all children with different needs and issues to meet their full potential. Look out for her next book on James surprise visit to his grandma in Mexico. Elyse Lemonda Elyse Lemonda is co-author for the new book, “Born to Run.” She dedicates her life to children with different disabilities. She is a Special Education Program Instructional Specialist for New York City Department of Education who helps place children in different programs throughout the Borough of Brooklyn. Elyse has a hearing impairment which enables her to have an understanding of the different struggles that students go through while learning in school.
