IBM DB2 Insert Statement Part 1
Now that our IBM DB2 table has been created, we will need to load data into it using static values, prior to inserting from an actual web front-end. Using the built-in query tool in IBM Data Studio, we are going to attempt an 'Insert Statement' to populate our database table with some records; information that can later be used for our select statements. First, we need to configure the Data Studio environment to perform the query. We need the Task Launcher in the management tool to begin. Most of the following steps in our process are self-explanatory, so we are going to limit adding screenshots in this document. As usual, we will make sure that all areas of interest are highlighted as guide.
