He ignites something in her that she's never felt before...

Sixteen-year-old Amalia Greene has lived under her over protective mother's watchful eye her entire life. But when her mom is killed in a car accident, Amalia has no other option but to move to Shadow Hill, Connecticut to live with her estranged family where she finds herself more alone than ever.

When Amalia meets Julian Archer, she feels a magnetic pull to him unlike anything she's ever felt before. She's pretty sure he feels the same way she does, but he won't let her get too close to him. She soon learns it's because Julian is keeping secrets - dark, dangerous secrets that affect both of them.

And then there's the cute, mysterious stranger who Amalia meets in the woods but who won't even tell her his name. The more time she spends with him, the more she finds herself intrigued by him...and unsure of what his true intentions are.

As Amalia learns more about herself and not just one but two age-old curses that involve her, she's forced to decide if she's willing to risk it all.

3.5 This book was decent. Not the greatest from these two writers, but it was entertaining enough, even if the romance is cliche and poorly written. The main character isn't awful but the majority of the rest of the cast is barely fleshed-out and act inconsistently. Definitely could have been better. I expect more after reading their Howl series.

I have read the howl series, the briar creek vampires, sirens lullaby(written by jody and jayme morse also) but none of the storylines are like ignite. I would recomend this book to anyone who likes paranormal fiction books. This book is written in first person of amalia greene who moves to shadow hill to live with her aunt and cousin after her mom died. And a series of weird events take place i dont want to spoil the book for you so youll have to read it!!! This is definitley the best book ive read in a while (the best being the fault in our stars) i really recomend this book!

I was trying to save this book for an upcoming hospital visit but after reading the first page I was hooked! This is great take on the supernatural and leaves you completely lost in the book yet shuttle hints gently bring you back to reality. The book ends on such a cliff hanger it's impossible not to be hooked. I can't wait for the next one to come out!!

I wasn't sure what to make of Ignite as I didn't know if it would be another predictable supernatural book.....but I was pleasantly surprised when i read Ignite. The whole way through it kept you guessing and even when the book ended your still left guessing waiting for the next in the series. Everything about Ignite was brilliant from the amazing characters to the edge of your seat story line. I think Jody and Jayme have done another incredible job of an amazing story. I would seriously recommend this book!!! :-)
