IMITATION IS .. .. ..
Set in Manchester, England, in the 1960s, Horatio Farquhar (or FQ as he was known) was asked by his boss to review a possible case of copyright infringement not long after he had graduated from Oxford University with a law degree. Their clients were two young and prominent songwriters. After completing his review of the case, the songwriters took the report prepared by the young barrister to a London-based barrister. The original work was not paid for, and FQs boss financially penalised Farquhar. The songwriters were very successful in their subsequent prosecution of the transgressors. Some forty years later, Sir Horatio Farquhar on nearing retirement dreamt up an audacious and elaborate scheme in order to exact revenge on the songwriters using modern day technology. His intention is to not only punish the sexagenarian songwriters, but to also provide a sizeable fund for his retirement.
