Overview

Impersonating God takes the reader on a roller coaster ride through the psyche of a psychopath as he develops and hones his dishonorable craft. James Caldwell has a beautiful wife, a daughter, and a successful career but the demons from his past haunt him, pushing him to question the meaning of life itself. As a philosophy professor he teaches his students to question the basic assumptions of civilization that we all hold dear, but soon his questioning develops into a quest for answers to the unknowable. This leads him down a path of unthinkable acts, which he is able to justify at each new antisocial step. Paralleling his descent into darkness with his teaching of an honors level philosophy course on Ethics, one of his brighter students starts to question his motives and begins to delve deeper into the mystery of James Caldwell. This leads to an enthralling yet disturbing finale that will leave the reader stunned.

About the Author

A board certified Emergency Physician and an attorney, Dr. Kassinove has lived several lifetimes in his 44 years. He lives in Southern California with his wife and 4 children. This is his first novel.
