About the Author

Pablo Agrio is a former Marine and a police officer imprisoned for murder. During his incarceration, he obtained a law degree. In April 2000, his essay Living Like Animals in a Cage was published by the San Franciso Chronicle. Boot Camp: My Signature Strength Story received 2nd place in the fall 2016 edition of the Veterans Voices contest. Most recently, his essay Thoughts on Self-Forgiveness was published online by ENDPAIN. He is a member of the UCLA Wordscommandos Creative Writing Workshop for Veterans who have PTSD. He is originally from Panama and lives in Los Angeles with his wife.
