In search of God
The content of this book consists of scattered articles, lexical and encyclopedic materials, and a few individual chapters from various books translated from Hebrew and English. All of these relate to a single topic from various perspectives: "Religion in Human Culture." With the exception of the translation approach, in which I was careful to convey the meaning with the highest possible degree of accuracy, avoid literal translation, and take into account the specificity of scientific terminology, I intermingled with the translated texts in places where a definition, explanation, or an opinion opposing that of the original text was required. I presented all of this in the form of "independent footnotes" placed at the end of each article, which include approximately 140 definitions and 40 comments, making it a "parallel book" to the original texts. At the end of the book, I included a glossary of the "sources of the translated materials," arranged as they appear in the book. I also divided the book into nine subtopics related to the topic of "religion" from various perspectives, as can be seen in the table of contents.
