About the Author

Emily Miskel is a board certified family law attorney. Based in Plano, Texas, she represents clients throughout Dallas, Collin, and Denton Counties in north Texas.

She provides legal services in connection with divorce litigation, complex property settlements, asset tracing, valuation, and division. She is experienced in child custody, visitation, support, and paternity issues. She also has a special focus on premarital agreements, postmarital agreements, and cohabitation agreements.

She provides services covering the whole range of family law, from premarital agreements through post-divorce modifications and appeals. In addition to trial experience, she is also trained in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration, and collaborative law.

Emily has an engineering degree from Stanford University, and she received her law degree from Harvard Law School. Although she no longer practices engineering, she represents many clients from engineering, technical, and business backgrounds. Emily has extensive experience with the unique issues facing business owners in divorce.
