Overview

In 1992 Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Charles Dunlap wrote a masterful thesis for the U.S. Air Force War College entitled, ‘The Origins of the Coup of 2012’. In this essay Lt. Colonel Dunlap extrapolated political events preceding and up to 1992. His insights into the near future were both Orwellian and prophetic.

It is with the insights from Lt. Col Dunlap, melded with the burgeoning American political idiocracy, and the cognitive de-evolution of the American people that the conversation in this country has been in the direction of confederacy and chaos.

The Prologue and the three short stories that follow beckon you to look into a series of near future scenarios in which the passage of the Anti-Abortion and Civility Amendment XXVIII had established a primacy, in which corporations are ceded all rights of persons, in which corporations exist as a governing Corporatocracy in symbiosis with the Biblical Law of a Theocracy or Christocracy.

Hamlet’s call: To take arms against a sea of troubles and by opposing, end them… has never been more prescient as it is at this time in our history. Under the Totem and Taboo of superstition and suspicion those freedoms that we hold as inviolable will come crashing down upon our heads and our country will recede into the abyss of darkness and ignorance. For these reasons, ‘Interviews on the Border’ is so much more than suggested reading.
