It's Hard To Drain The Swamp When Yer Up To Yer Ears In Alligators! by Rockie Sue Fordham

As you swim through the swamps of life, sometimes it feels like you've got alligators chomping at your toes. It is during these tough times when we must remember that God is still in control. It is He who will lift us out of the murky waters threatening to pull us under.
It's hard to Drain the Swamp When Yer up to Yer Ears in Alligators is the story of Rockie Sue Fordham, pastor's wife of thirty years. Rockie Sue's stories deal with the difficult issues of life in the ministry, as well as life in general, in a comical and unthreatening manner, teaching that laughter can outweigh the tears. The book reaches out to the reader, willing you to keep on keeping on because our Lord will be victorious. In His arms we will safely reach the shore.

This book is an interesting and informative look at the ups and downs of life and ministry. The author relates true stories and anticdotes that clearly picture what life is like in a fish bowl. I found this book to be fun, humorous, encouraging and easy to read. It would be a great addition to your coffee or bedside table. This book would be a excellent gift for anyone who is going through a difficult time.

I loved reading this book...found it very hard to put down. Every Christian should read it! Every minister should read it too! It was so encouraging...filled with laughter...very uplifting...and parts of it made me laugh until I hurt. It gave me a much clearer picture of what life in the ministry was really like. I was so pleased that I ordered over a dozen more and gave them as gifts of encouragement to my minister and some friends. They all loved it too.

This book is a timely selection for anyone involved in church. It's a realistic view of the hazards and pitfalls of life, while at the same time being an entertaining piece. The fact is, we're all in some sort of a swamp. Fordham reaches across the ailse to where you are and offers opportunities to look in the mirror and find places where God needs to help you drain your swamp.
