About the Author

Marjorie McKinnon is the author of "REPAIR Your Life: A Program of Recovery from Incest & Childhood Sexual Abuse" as well as "REPAIR For Kids". "REPAIR For Toddlers" will be published before the end of 2010. She is also the founder of The Lamplighters, a rapidly growing international movement for recovery from incest and childhood sexual abuse. The Lamplighters currently have 59 chapters in nine countries. Their Blog is at REPAIR is being used
as a model for recovery in most of her Lamplighter chapters.

One of Ms. McKinnon’s goals is to initiate Lamplighter chapters in women’s prisons. The California Institute for Women in Chino, CA is the home of their first prison chapter. All attendees are working the REPAIR program together.
Ms McKinnon is on the Board of Directors for the Let Go, Let Peace Come In Foundation. Their mission is to bring healing, support, and awareness to the hundreds of millions of adult childhood sexual abuse survivors and their families worldwide, and to raise money for a nonprofit fund to provide the financial
assistance necessary to start survivors of childhood sexual abuse on the path to recovery “one” survivor at a time. Their website is at www.letgoletpeacecomein.org. The Foundation is currently working on establishing a World Alliance and has already partnered with NAPAC from the United Kingdom and the RAHI Foundation from India to help adult survivors recover from incest and childhood sexual abuse. They continue to identify similar Foundations with which to partner with around the globe.

Ms. McKinnon is available for speaking engagements throughout the country and in addition to her REPAIR series, is the author of five novels, three non-fiction works and five volumes of poetry.
