I bought this book for my 7 year old who hate to read. She love Ivy + Bean so much, I no longer have to force her to read. She picks up the book and starts reading without me having to tell her. It's all about finding something enjoyable and exciting. Not only does she read on her own, she discusses the details of the book with me. Thank you Annie Barrows for these wonderful book sets!

I gave Set 1 to a young friend in 2nd grade and she loves the books. Her father said she would not stop reading the first book until she came to the end of the book! In it she also learned a new  word: tightwad, which was explained in the sentence after it was used for the first time. So not only did she enjoy reading, but her vocabulary was expanded as well. Highly recommended

My daughter loves this series. She is not an avid reader and I literally have to bribe her to get her to sit down and pick up a book. After researching and hearing all the decent things regarding this series I went into the store and read one of the books myself. I enjoyed it and felt that it would be something that I can get my child to read. I am very happy that I did. Not only did my daughter read these books, she finished the entire first series in less than a month and begged me to purchase the second set. Yeah. I would definitely recommend Ivy and Bean.
