An engaging, well-written, humorous story about a perennially popular subject. James and the Alien Experiment is a comedy about a boy who is kidnapped by aliens. They're quite well-meaning aliens though, who want to improve his rather useless human body - which proves not to be entirely a bad thing (just mostly a bad thing). Ross is given super-strength, super-brains and super-speed and in the end he succeeds in sorting out his truly loathsome form teacher.

About the Author

Sally Prue is the award-winning author of Cold Tom (Branford Boase Award 2002). She has also written for A&C Black in the White Wolves series.
Sally Prue isn't sure where she was born, but from the time she was adopted as a baby she was brought up in Hertfordshire, where she still lives. When her daughters were small, Sally taught recorder and piano whilst also writing children's fiction, and is the winner of the Branford Boase Award and the Smarties Prize Silver Award for her bestselling novel Cold Tom. Sally has a set of Northumbrian bagpipes that she doesn't play very often, which is probably a good thing!
