About the Author

جبران خليل جبران هو كاتب وشاعر وفنان لبناني وُلد في 6 يناير 1883، ويعتبر من أبرز رواد النهضة الأدبية في العالم العربي. انتقل جبران مع عائلته إلى الولايات المتحدة في سن مبكرة، حيث واجه العديد من التحديات التي ساهمت في تشكيل رؤيته الأدبية. عُرف بأسلوبه الفريد الذي يمزج بين العمق الفكري والجمالية اللغوية، حيث كتب العديد من الأعمال التي تعكس تجاربه الشخصية وفلسفته في الحياة. من بين أشهر أعماله "النبي"، الذي تُرجم إلى العديد من اللغات وحقق شهرة واسعة. كان جبران شخصية محورية في "الرابطة القلمية"، التي أسسها مع مجموعة من الأدباء لإحياء الأدب العربي. توفي جبران في نيويورك عام 1931، لكن إرثه الأدبي ما زال حيًا، وتحققت أمنيته بالدفن في لبنان حيث يُحتفظ برفاته في متحف جبران.
