I am not sure if I really like fantasy or not. It just depends, I suppose, on the story. This book is nearly convincing me that I secretly do love fantasy and just am not admitting it to myself. I love these stories and if you love fantasy stories (or even if you will not admit it), you will love this book too. Rea was awoken one night to strangers trying to steal her child. Aided by an unknown mage she is not sure she can trust him. Mandela was tasked with getting a book from the library for her lord what she did nit realize was this was going to be more than a simple chore. The chosen one of Ra is suspicious of the aliens who are helping build the temples and idols but what can he do? And what will be the price of fighting them. Tar on was running for his life. He wanted to savE Zara and gain freedom for them both. But what freedom is there to be had? This is a compendium of four short fantasy stories about freedom. Each story is a stand alone and each depicts a different version of what freedom means. The characters are amazing and well developed. They draw you into their plight and you can not. It hope their achieve freedom. The stories are full of action and the settings are all unique. I enjoyed the variety and the way the author showed that freedom can mean very different things. If you like fantasy books you will enjoy these great stories. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
