Just an Ordinary Woman:
Jesus said in Matthew 20:16; 22:14, "For many are called, but few (are) chosen." Fannie Pauline Lowe was one of the chosen. From the very beginning of her Christian life, which began at age 12 when the family lived in the western part of Virginia, she was fully committed to following the Lord unreservedly.
After the family moved to Danville, Virginia, she took steps to pursue a formal education starting fi rst at Holmes Bible College in Greenville, South Carolina, where she earned a bachelor of theology degree. Later she attended nurse's training at Danville Memorial Hospital. Having presented herself as a missionary candidate several times, the Foreign Missions Board of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, finally approved her appointment, and she was off to Hong Kong on September 16, 1959. She spent 28 years there making a profound impression upon the Chinese with the gospel that she lived. She was indeed one of God's luminaries in His
spiritual galaxy.
In 1987, Fannie basically started a new career in mainland China under the auspices of an organization that was not associated with the IPHC. She served there as a teacher of English, but her missionary activities never ceased until the day she went to be with her Maker. Her tenure there added another 10 years to time in ministry as a loving and caring laborer in the vineyard of the Lord.
Dr. Posey, the co-author of the book, has been involved in ministry for sixty years, having served as a missionary, evangelist, lecturer, counselor, teacher, and pastor. She holds a bachelor of theology degree, a bachelor of science and a master of arts degree in English, and a doctor of ministry degree.
