About the Author

Skye Taylor lives in Florida where she divides her time between writing novels, walking the beach, occasionally dressing up as a 17th century Spanish colonial and participating in historical re-enactments in old St Augustine, and volunteering at the USO. She considers life an adventure and in a world of people who ask why, she has decided to ask "why not?" She spent two years in the South Pacific with the Peace Corps (2002-2004). She's jumped out of perfectly good airplanes and earned a basic sky diving license. She loves to travel and has visited twenty-six states and fourteen countries on four continents and the South Pacific. Her bucket list includes at least that many more places to see. Having been born and lived most of her life in New England where her children grew up, she is now a transplanted Yankee soaking up the sun, warmth and history of St. Augustine. She's a member of Women’s Fiction Writers Association, RWA, Florida Writer’s Association and Sisters in Crime. Her published works to date: Non-fiction: Essays on life in the Peace Corps, Fiction: The Candidate, Falling for Zoe, Loving Meg, Trusting Will, Healing a Hero, Iain’s Plaid, and Keeping His Promise.

Skye Taylor’s fifth installment of the Camerons of Tide's Way series, Keeping His Promise, is a wonderful read. It tells the beautiful love story between Kate Cameron Shaw and Jon Canfield, a love that is rooted in their childhood and grew stronger as adults. It is a story that will warm your hearts, make you believe in second chances, and the powerful belief that love conquers all. When Kate’s husband passes away, one of her closest friends, Jon Canfield, steps in to help her out. He had made a promise to his friend Ethan, Kate’s husband, that he would take care of his girls. Here begins a wonderful story of two people caring for each other in the midst of worries, problems, crises, and many diverse roads involving career choices and loyalties. This is a story that reflects, as well, on current issues and people’s emotions, with compassion, love and wisdom. I highly recommend Keeping His Promise. You will love every word. Suzanne Hurley

I read the ARC for this title and truly enjoyed yet another Skye Taylor tale. As is usual for her, the characters are complex enough to support the twists and turns in this solid modern romance, yet not convoluted. When she mixes together a double dose of guilt, lots of attraction, a good helping of career fever, and the spice of small-town politics and loyalties, the result is a fast-paced story that will have readers turning the pages until they are finished. This book is exactly what comes to mind for me when I think of "beach reads" - and I highly recommend it for summer - or winter - reading. I have loved all of the Cameron stories and this one was no exception. That they are all quite different even with the family thread, is a bonus.
