Kids and a Camel

This novel takes place in Jerusalem during the first century.

Julia's normal life turned upside down on that morning during Holy Week. The usual preparations for Passover were interrupted by two donkeys. One was being ridden by a man people were calling a king. The other had viciously attacked her elderly grandfather and left him limping and in pain.

Now Julia and her younger brother, Luke, turned all their attention to helping the man who had been their mentor and teacher of the sacred books of their religion. But, to their surprise, Grandfather was more interested in uncovering the secrets of the mysterious man who had entered Jerusalem and turned their joyous celebration into division and unrest.

For ages 9 to 12.
