About the Author

Cartoonist turned pulp writer, Joe Archibald had many series characters for different pulp magazines. For Popular Detective Archibald wrote Willie Klump stories. For Ten Detective Aces he wrote The Dizzy Duo stories. For 10 Story Detective he wrote Alvin Hinkey stories. For Lone Eagle/American Eagle he wrote Hooley and Spink stories. He also wrote an assortment of other stories. Some people know him as a sports humorist. He was super prolific and generally drew the illustrations to his own stories.
