Overview

Based on the third book (1985) in the V.I Warshawski mystery series, this dramatization was broadcast on BBC Radio. It features first-class acting, subdued sound effects, and a jazz musical background. Kathleen Turner reprises her 1991 movie role as Chicago P.I. Warshawski as she tracks down a murderer and investigates a conspiracy involving the Mafia and the Vatican. Turner’s smoky voice could not be more appropriate for the role, and the secondary characters are just as good.
