About the Author

Nita Marie Clark, a resident of Stark County Ohio, is an active and motivated senior citizen. Nita has held many interesting roles in her over eighty years of life; wife, mother, grandparent, elementary school librarian, volunteering in; scouting, educational associations, and other non-profit groups. Along the way at the age of fifty Nita, found time to become an entrepreneur. Starting her own unique business that is still in operation today. 

Two years ago at the encouragement of her Great Granddaughter Lillian, she began a new career as an author, releasing her first book for middle-grade readers; The Royal Search For Shenanigans. Her latest release is a thirty-eight-page children's picture book; Why Dandelions Grow. 

Why Dandelions Grow, is a tribute to all of the little children and mothers that have shared the experience of picking and receiving the loving gift of a lowly little dandelion. With two more manuscripts in the works, this senior citizen is looking forward to enjoying her newest role in life as an author.

Knick-Knack Paddy Whack Version 2.0, written by Nita Marie Clark and illustrated by Kathy N. Doherty, is a children's picture book. The book centers around an old Welsh folk song called "This Old Man" but uses a new version of the song to deliver its message. This tune is present throughout the book, and each page has vibrant drawings with the words or rather lyrics on the page, so the reader can sing along while admiring those fantastic illustrations. The book features Curly, who plays the Welsh song while strolling in his neighborhood, and his dog named Sarge. Each performance awards Curly with a bone for old Sarge, and once the sunlight fades, they head on home with enough bones for all the pups to share.

Knick-Knack Paddy Whack Version 2.0 by Nita Marie Clark was a pretty fun book to read. It was even more enjoyable because I read it along with my little brother. Seeing him enjoy it and sing along with a smile made the experience even better. The illustrations are vibrant. They've also got a nice amount of detail, so kudos to Kathy N. Doherty for providing such marvelous visuals to look at. The song played throughout the book was also significant because it was easy to get in the rhythm and sing along. All in all, this is a great children's picture book. My brother can attest to that. So I'd definitely recommend Knick-Knack Paddy Whack Version 2.0 to readers with a younger sibling or child.
