Knight on the White Steed
Rod Benz, a tall, bright and handsome, highly skilled and respected BMW motorcycle mechanic in South Carolina, is en route on his white BMW K1200 LT to Maine where he’ll spend his vacation.
Peggy Marshall, a 5 foot 10, attractive bike nut and waitress at her father’s restaurant in Carlisle, PA, has dreamed since she was 14 of being swept off her feet by a tall, handsome knight on a white steed. She’s been waiting for ten years for her handsome knight on that white steed.
While en route to Maine, Rod stops by the Marshall’s restaurant in Carlisle. Peggy sees his white BMW bike and decides he must be her long sought knight. She talks him into taking her with him on his buddy seat. Her father, the restaurant owner and a giant of a man, agrees, “as long as you behave,” and they ride off. Temptations abound and romance develops but accompanied by Rod’s visions of her bigger than life father and his warning.
They return to Carlisle. Rod convinces Arndt Miller, his best friend, to bike up to Carlisle from South Carolina to be his best man. Rod marries Peggy, Arndt hits on Joyce, Peggy’s best friend, and the four bike down to Alabama to run bike tours to help a bike dealer sell more bikes. The who’s who in romances get a little mixed up, but bikes get sold, money is earned, and good times and love overcome all.
