About the Author

The award-winning author Irene Aparici was born with a notebook in one hand and a pencil in the other. She has lived in Spain and in Ecuador. As a professional, she has worked mainly in the financial sector, but has also worked as a professor at a university, a rural estates administrator, a mediator in extrajudicial conflicts, and an international cooperator. In 2011, Irene was diagnosed with breast cancer, to which she lost her battle in 2014.

The award-winning illustrator Enrique Quevedo lives in Sevilla, Spain.

La galardonada autora Irene Aparici nació con un cuaderno en una mano y un lápiz en la otra. Ha vivido en España y en Ecuador. Como profesional, ha trabajado principalmente en el sector financiero, y también se ha dedicado a actividades tan variadas como la docencia universitaria, la administración de fincas rústicas, la mediación de conflictos extrajudiciales o la cooperación internacional.

En 2011, le diagnosticaron un cáncer de mama, una batalla que perdió en 2014.

El galardonado ilustrador Enrique Quevedo vive en Sevilla, España.
