About the Author

Chris Martin has spent a lifetime as a youth advocate. His journey with youth has exposed him to the many difficulties youth face, both in a third-world setting and in several states of the US.

He has served in the role of friend, big brother, uncle, or substitute father to countless youths. He also served as board member of several advocacy groups. He has felt the joys and pains of walking alongside at-risk youth as they seek to overcome many adversities. His recent journey has taken him through the dark halls of suicide and brought to the forefront the constant struggle for peace in his personal walk.

This book reflects that recent dark experience set against the backdrop of the wisdom of years of exposure to many who struggle and often succeed in overcoming adversity.
