About the Author

Sir James Henry Ramsay (1832-1925) was born in Versailles, France. A historian, he was known to the British peerage as 10th Baronet Ramsay, of Bamff.  His works include The Foundations of England (1898), The Angevin Empire (1903), The Scholar’s History of England (1908), The Dawn of the Constitution (1908), and Genesis of Lancaster (1913).
