About the Author

Joan Monahan Watson is a director in the Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech.

José Antonio Bowen is the author of Teaching Naked: How Moving Technology Out of Your College Classroom Will Improve Student Learning and Teaching Change: How to Develop Independent Thinkers Using Relationships, Resilience, and Reflection. He is the former president of Goucher College.

C. Edward Watson is the Vice President for Digital Innovation at the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) and is the founding director of AAC&U’s Institute on AI, Pedagogy, and the Curriculum. He is the former Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Georgia. Bowen and Watson are coauthors of Teaching Naked Techniques: A Practical Guide to Designing Better Classes.
