About the Author

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it’s been a dream.

Her passion for writing didn’t start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it. It wasn’t long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa’s brain and The Love Series was born.

OMG.... I read my very first M/M book. They say the first time your cherry is popped it is painful and just a horrible experience. I call BS because Melissa worked me over and left me emotionally sated and an emotional wreck in the best way possible. I fell in love with Dylan and Conner. Their story from beginning to end left me breathless. The story of Shane in Dylan had me in so many tears I had to put the book down to relax myself. I didn't know I could dislike a character so much but remembering Reid threat to his father in Let Love Stay had me elated that he did NOT win in the end. Dylan growth in wanting to go camping in the forest to LIVE not only summed up this story but the meaning of the entire series. All the characters just wanted to live and not just exist. Conner did not let him shy away and he had to fight for what he so truly needed. In life you are surely given one soulmate but in this case Dylan had two. This story was a perfect ending to some of the best writing I have seen in a NA EVER...

This series is one of my favorites and Melissa out did herself in the final installment. I cried, I laughed, I swooned at the love between these men. This may have been her first M/M romance but she hit it out of the park. She touched on a lot of sensitive issues but did it with class and sophistication. I know this series is complete but I will continue to look for more from this author in the future. Take a bow Melissa this was a work of art.

Wow, Melissa has outdone herself with this one. This was such an amazing read, I could not stop. From the moment that you start reading, you feel as though you are part of the story. The characters are amazing, the story, wow. This book moves along at an amazing pace from beginning to end and does not let you down. This has to be on your must read list for this year. You will not be disappointed.

I loved this book! I wanted Dylan's book for so long and am so happy Melissa went out of her zone to create this fabulous well crafted M/M book. You will laugh, cry and truly feel for the characters until the very end! As you know Dylan was in love with Shane, Reid's brother. Dylan has never been able to move on- to love someone else. Reid thinks he should talk to a counselor., but does Dylan really need one? When Reid and he stumbled by a newly opening gym he sees a gorgeous man, one who will forever change his life. Conner and his sister, Rachel are opening a gym. His sole focus is working on creating this gym. He's lonely and had to deal with an incredible amount of pain in his life. When he sees this mysterious wonderful smelling man.. he's intrigued. Can someone like this man be just what he needs? I loved these men! I truly did! Both are amazing, sexy, sweet, caring, loving and two men who are perfect for one another. I loved seeing various POV's and being inside their heads. Dylan- it's no secret I wanted his book badly. I felt horrible for him and do even more now. That pain he had to endure was horrific. I had tears in my eyes....  I loved him and the love he had for Shane, the boys he works with, his love for Reid/Maddy and those who are dear to him. He's a wonderful man. Conner- I loved him. He's the right match for Dylan. He's loving, devoted, wonderful to his sister.. an overall terrific man. I can't say anymore about him. He's just the right fit for Dylan in every sense of the word. This book is sexy, phenomenally written and a terrific ending to this series! 5 I'll never forget this series stars from me!

OMG Melissa has done it again! What a way to end this beautiful Love series!! Although I was really nervous going into the reading because it was my first M/M book...I was beautifully surprised! This book is powerfully written! It completely captures you and doesn't let go until the very end! Not all stories have beautiful lessons woven throughout it's pages, but this one does....love is unconditional and available to all!! Warning however, LOTS of Kleenex is needed! I love Melissa Collins and her stories! Please read her books...I promise you will not be disappointed!!

This book as a whole is probably the best of all. It's a difficult topic to write about. Melissa Collins nailed it, it's full of emotion that will leave you raw and thoughtful during each part. It will make you want to hold the young around you and let them know how much you appreciate them. It will make you want to sit and talk to make sure your loved ones aren't experiencing problems. It may make you feel ashamed of words that have left your mouth and careful they don't leave your mouth again. It shows just how powerful words in frustration or anger are and how they can affect those we love. This book is a definite 5 star thought provoking read. You'll laugh, cry, smile, and blush throughout each part of the book

Beautiful, moving and hot! Reviewer: Bex Sometimes there are books which entertain me, some offer me amusement, some take my breath away. It is rare that a book can achieve all three so effortlessly. Melissa Collins' writing continues to inspire me and move me. With the beauty of her words and the characters she creates, I was left feeling uplifted and inspired, and maybe just a little bit horny. :) My favourite of the series so far, Let Love Live is a beautiful, moving and hot read.

I read this book as a standalone. This is my first book from Ms. Collins. When Let Love Live started showing up on my Facebook feed, I knew I had to read it as soon as it was available.  The incredible emotions that Dylan feels about himself and his best friend have the reader on the edge of their seat. The support he gives to Shane and Reid in the beginning made the rest of the story so much deeper for me. I loved reading how unwavering Dylan was to their situation and how much he cared for both of them deeply. This book is a travel though Dylan’s life before, during and after a horrible catastrophe happens. He retreats into himself and feels unworthy. Blocking everyone out of his life is the way he copes. Then Conner Michelson enters his life and everything changes. Gritty, raw and emotionally satisfying, I LOVED this book. It was an incredible read. It really brought major life issues to the forefront and tackled them gently and effectively. Sexy m/m sex scenes, a great story line and a terrific ending, has me giving this book 5 stars. If you haven’t experienced Melissa Collins, I encourage you to do so. This is book 5 in her Love series. Come and enjoy her characters, writing and exceptional style. It was so worth the wait.

Wow! Just Wow! This book just got to me in so many ways. Melissa Collins has touched my heart through this entire series, but I didn’t think it could get better, then she hit me with this one. This is by far my favorite of the entire series and I was a bit nervous going into this one. We all knew what happened to Shane, but we never really understood why. This book is a gripping story of what happened before Shane left his family, friends and Dylan. Shane, Reid’s brother, was everything to Dylan growing up. They were the best of friends and did everything together. Dylan was there for Shane and Reid through everything with their father. But there was one thing Dylan couldn’t protect Shane from and that was who he was. I spent the first half of the book in tears. Such a beautiful love and such a tragic ending to it. My heart broke for Shane and Dylan. But for Dylan, is there a way to move on beyond the love of your life? Several years later, Dylan still hasn’t found anyone to fill the void left behind by Shane. He has a great career and amazing friends. But there will always be that space in his heart that cannot be filled. So when he walks into the gym that day, he can’t even prepare himself for what he is looking at. Connor and all of his glory. Connor is so beyond attracted to Dylan but he knows that Dylan is off limits. He has a family… or it appears that way. This book was powerful and moving and I was really impressed. There are so many battles being fought internally and externally in this book that I was just captivated. Melissa Collins just does such an amazing job with her words, the subject and she does it with ease and grace. I am not typically a reader of M/M romances but this one just grabbed a hold and hit my heart with force. It was powerful to say the least. I love this entire series and I can’t get enough of any of the characters, but there was just something so raw and powerful about Dylan and Connor that I just wanted more for both of them. The characters, the passion and the heartbreak all wrapped together in the pages of this book is incredible and I am so happy that I have had the opportunity to read this book and feel what the characters were feeling and I embraced Let Love Live. I will definitely be re-reading this one! It is heartwarming and touching while dealing with the difficulties that life has given them.

5 Stars I didn't read the other books in this series listed below before reading this one but I will go back and read them  Let Love In (Love, #1)  Let Love Stay (Love, #2) Let Love Heal (Love, #3) Let Love Shine (Love, #3.5)  Let Love Be (Love, #4) This story is a complete rollercoaster ride.  All you emotions will come out to play.  You will learn experience love, loss, and hope to heal through love. This story starts out with Shane and Dylan.  The passion and love between these two is so emotional.    They have no issues showing their love and it makes you fall for both of them.  Now years later Dylan is struggling daily with living. When he meets Conner who is a former MMA fighter sparks fly.  Dylan is a jerk at first but Conner is a fighter.  The attraction is hot.  It’s just a matter of time before Dylan gives in.  I love the back and forth between these two.  It’s great to finally see Dylan heal and love again.      I highly recommend this story, this series, and this author.

This book is divided into two parts. Both are amazing, but it's part one that really got to me. Lawd! I bawled and bawled, like I could not see my kindle screen for the tears at some point. It was beautiful and tragic and all the things I love about a great pull my heartstrings story. It made me wish I could protect this beautiful love from the cruel reality that is the world sometimes. "Dylan, I'm sorry I couldn't be everything you needed, everything you deserved. I love you. I always will. I'm sorry." So I did the only thing I could think of. I got in my car and drove. Part two lightens the mood without letting go of the heartstrings. "What are you my gay wingman?" It's about second chances at happiness in life, picking up the pieces. This is a story of heartbreak and coming back from it. It's also a story of how much impact people have on each other's lives. I highly recommend reading it.

5 stars = I freaking LOVED this book I have never read any of Ms. Collins’s books before, so I am not sure if Let Love Live is indicative of her normal style of writing or not. By this I mean, I don’t know if she typically treats readers to two stories or not because that is exactly what I feel I was lucky enough to read. The first part of the book chronicles Dylan and Shane’s life as high school seniors and college freshmen. Just in case young adulthood is not enough to deal with on its own, these young men have to deal with the realization that Dylan is gay and it causes a huge rift in their friendship, causing Shane to ignore him for months. The first part of the book titled “Before” is told from the point of view of both Dylan and Shane and to say it is heartbreaking doesn’t do it justice. I couldn’t help but feel so strongly for both of these characters as their story unfolded to an end I saw coming long before I got there, but still made me bawl like a baby.  The second part of the story, entitled “After,” begins eight years later and chronicles Dylan’s life as he meets and falls in love with Conner - something he fights against for far too long. I will admit that Conner is the main reason I wanted to read this book. The idea of a gay MMA fighter is hot - seriously, all of that testosterone and muscle just makes me weak in the knees. But Conner endeared himself to me almost instantly. He has a wicked sense of humor that appeals to me and had me laughing out loud several times. I’m not one to quote lines from books much, but Conner left me no choice. One of my favorite lines from the book is actually one of his internal thoughts: It’s a good thing I’m not wearing workout shorts because nothing screams “I’m a professional” like sporting wood at the front desk of your own gym. Seriously, how can you not love this character? As both men come with baggage, their relationship is by no means smooth sailing and they have a lot of obstacles they have to deal with to make it work. However, passion is NOT one of those obstacles. Good grief the sex scenes were H.O.T. hot! There is just something about visualizing all of that muscled flesh … whew!! Ms. Collins gives fans of M/M romances not one, but two beautiful stories. As Dylan is a main character in both of them, we know the first doesn’t have a happy ending, but it is beautiful nonetheless. I love this book and look forward to reading it again. I just know to have my tissues handy because even though I know what to expect, I know I will cry again. For me, one sign of an excellent piece of writing is one in which the author can still make me cry even when I know it’s coming - it is the journey, not the destination that makes a book enjoyable for me and Ms. Collins took me on two beautiful journeys in Let Love Live.  I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.  Reviewed by Angela at Crystal's Many Reviewers!

This is book #5 in the Love Series, this can be read as a stand alone but I would highly suggest that you read all the other books also so that you can get a good back story on these characters.  I gave this book 5 stars. If i could give it more or stress to you how amazing this book was I would.  Melissa is an amazing Author, but she has outdone herself with this story.   Shane, Dylan and Conner's story.  And although Shane is only apart of the story for a little bit the story is very much about him too.  Shane .. damn I am going to cry just thinking about this man right now. Such a beautiful, gentle loving soul that was tortured and hurt and made to feel like he was nothing.  The only thing he felt like he had in his life was his brother Reid and his best friend Dylan. Even when he felt like he had lost it all those are the two that were there to support him, love him and do anything for him that they could.   This story is split into two parts .. Before and after... We have come to love Dylan in all the other books and know what a tormented life that he has. He lives his job, he loves Reid and his family and considers them just as much family as everyone else does. BUT that doesn't stop him from shutting everything else out. He doesn't do love. Not anymore. He lives in his past and with his memories.  The first part of this story shows you why. Why Dylan is the way he is. Why he won't let anyone in and love him. You meet Shane and get to fall in love with him just like Dylan did. You see who this man was and what he went through. This part of the story not only broke my heart, but it made me severely depressed. I'm having a hard time writing this right now. Shane didn't deserve the way he was treated by his father, or by his peers. He made a decision about his life and he was tortured for it. To the point where he didn't know which way was up, or where to turn. All he wanted was to be happy. To live. To be who he was meant to be.   The sad thing is yes, this is just a story, but this happens everyday. Somewhere, someone is being treated the same way, for the same reasons. And that is just not the way it is suppose to be. Melissa did such an amazing job of showing what life is for someone who feels this way. For someone who doesn't believe they are normal. But it also showed the love that Dylan and Shane had for each other. It showed so much compassion and love. These two were a perfect fit. Two pieces of one puzzle. First love and best friends.  The second part of this story is about Dylan trying to live his life the best way he can after all that has happened. What would you do? How would you live with everything that happened? I'm not sure that I could be as strong as Dylan was, as strong as he  is! Conner comes into the picture and changes everything for Dylan. Messes up all his plans. He doesn't know if he can move on, but with Conner he might be willing to try. This story is about grief, loss and letting love in again. It is about living again. Because what Dylan was doing for so many years was not living he was just a piece of what he could be, Conner brought out of him all that was hiding and still buried a little to deep to get out on his own.  This story was just WOW to me. I have read a few M/M books, but none that have shown the deep seeded feelings that they bury so deep within themselves, the guilt about being different. AND most importantly the hatred that people carry around with them because they don't understand something, so instead of trying to figure it out and giving someone a chance they hate. They belittle and they make a person feel as if they are nothing. I will never understand humans and the way that they can treat others. My heart breaks for all that these beautiful people go through.  Thank you Melissa for giving me a wonderful story to read, but also showing me some things that we tend to push to the back of our minds if we don't see it everyday. I hope to be a little bit kinder and a little bit more understanding about things that I don't understand.

I'm going to start this review with this, I made a mistake when I was reading this book. I missed three very important words. "Part One: Before". Let me explain. This book is written in three parts. "Before", "After" and "Forever" (with a prologue thrown in, as well). I won't explain the meaning of "Before" and "After", because they will become very clear to you early in the book, and it is really critical to the entire story. As I finished Part One, and saw the heading for Part Two: After, it all made perfect sense. I went back to the beginning and found the words "Part One Before" and it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders because I could allow myself to absolutely love and enjoy this book, from beginning to end. I won't give any of this story away, because you truly need to experience the entire thing, start to finish. However, I will say that if you can finish Part One without a tear in your eye, let me know and I will send someone over to check your pulse. It was all about love and loss, anger and heartbreak, and makes those three little words so very critical to the story. I found this book so intriguing. I have never read a book quite like this. This book had two love stories in it, not the norm that we are used to of just one. And yet, it felt so right. The characters in this book were flawed. They made mistakes, some huge ones, some that could not be taken back, but those flaws made those characters so very heartfelt in everything they did. They loved 100%. And they loved in real life, with all the realities that go along with it. Anger and despair, along with the joy and happiness. Dylan's heart is broken, and only with the patience of a man who loves deeply, could it be mended. This story brought me through the gamut of emotions. I laughed, I cried (at least four different times, one being one of those ugly cries we hate), I sighed with happiness, and I questioned some of the decisions of the characters. Mostly, though, I just let this book take me on the journey it was intended to. I find that sometimes we try to anticipate where a book is going to take us, what is coming next. I couldn't anticipate it, and found that I didn't want to. It was a beautiful story, and I can only hope that Ms. Collins sees fit to add a little bit of these fine gentlemen back into another book in this series so we can catch up with them later. I hope that you can spend some time with this book and appreciate it all. Definite reread! Final review is 4.5 stars.

Wow! I had to get that out there first! I wasn't sure going in to this book what to expect. I had never read any books with a M/M relationship. Well, any homosexual relationship before. I was surprised at how touching, hot, and completely wonderful this book is! Melissa Collins delivers once again with another powerful read! I loved her previous books, and this didn't fail either! It's a wonderful story of a tortured soul named Dylan. It digs in to his past and rips your heart strings before you know it. You get to read about how Dylan evolves as a person after his tragic loss of love, and how he ends up full circle. Melissa's dedication said it best when she wrote "For those who deserve to be loved...no matter who they love". Bravo on this wonderful book! It truly gives me a greater understanding of some of my friends relationships. I loved the book, loved the series, and will continue to read anything she writes!

A beautiful, emotional story of love and healing, second chances, moving on, and family. It took me awhile to finish this book. I wanted to take my time and enjoy every page but at the same time, I wanted to hurry up and get to the end see how this story ends.. Let Love Live is an unforgettable second chance romance that tells a story of love and pain, fate and circumstances, forgiveness and hope. You get romance, humor, steamy sex, and then it all wraps up with a great HEA. Connor and Dylan have a physical attraction that leaps off the page. Their sexual tension is so hot, it will leave you in a puddle of lust. The Let Love Series are well-written stories that have excellent story lines, swoon worthy moments, and characters that you can empathize with. These books are a great mix of emotions... pain, anger, quilt, heartache, drama, sadness, with a whole lot of lust and love thrown in. It is a pleasure to be able to read such amazing work by an up and coming author who has joined the list of my favorite authors. Looking forward to reading more books by this awesome author!
