Covering everything from animal behavior at the zoo to the movement of the constellations, early readers are introduced to the elements of scientific thinking. Scenarios featuring characters in a classroom setting with a teacher are familiar and approachable. Characters ask age-appropriate questions about topics, leading to discussion points for readers. Each title in the series includes three or four chapters, a page of review questions, a brief glossary, a list of further reading resources, and a brief index. Illustrations are colorful and accessible. As an introduction to scientific thinking, this series has a place in an early learning classroom. However, this series is not designed to be a research resource and won't see as much use in a public library.
