LET'S TRAVEL: A Manual for Secondary School Teachers Wishing to take Students on Domestic And International Trips
For the first time teacher wishing to take students on a domestic or international trip, this manual has an abundance of useful material. This manual is written by two teachers that have taken 31 trips and over 1150 students. We have been highly successful and wish to share our experiences. We have covered many topics, but here are the highlights: Picking a travel agency, getting approval, recruiting, fundraising ideas, legal concerns and sample forms, passports, U.S. customs, hotel and airport security, how to pay for goods and services in foreign countries, tipping, packing tips, first aid and sickness, home stays, bus rides, what to do on departure and return days, etc. We have set the manual up where we suggest things and also share practical and personal experiences. When we started there was no guide for us, and we would like this manual to help teachers overcome many of the questions and anxieties that we had.
