Letters to My Daughter: Abc Book
The relationship between a mother and daughter can be influential in so many ways. Becoming a mother is something most little girls often dream about when they are younger. Charnell had this same dream and prayed for this very blessing. At the age of twenty-six, her prayers were answered, and her daughter is everything that she hoped and dreamed. Throughout the journey of raising her daughter, Charnell has realized that there will come a time when she will no longer be here physically with her daughter. In the world we live in today, there are so many young mothers being taken away from their children due to illnesses or sudden tragic events. Reading or hearing about these sad stories brought so much pain and fear that Charnell wanted to prepare for all of the possibilities that could occur. Therefore, Charnell decided to write short letters to her daughter. Her daughter will have access to these letters anytime as they will serve as a constant reminder of Mommys love. But while Charnell is still here, she hopes to teach her daughter as much as she knows and to love her as much as she can. In these letters, you will find love, guidance, and peace! May you pass these letters on to your children or even create your very own!

CHAPTER 1

A

Dear Daughter,

I know you will do many great things throughout your life and I will be with you for every single accomplishment. Celebrate every goal that you achieve and remember that no achievement is too small or too big. Know that you are simply amazing, and we are proud of you!

I love you.

B

Dear Daughter,

Every day you should look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself how beautiful you are. Remind yourself to be the best version of you every single day! You are blessed and highly favored and a child of a king!

I love you.

C

Dear Daughter,

Some days will be a challenge but remember always to give your all. Obstacles are not meant to stop you but are present to make you stronger. Create a mindset that nothing and no one can stop you from moving forward and connect with those who can help you along your way.

I love you.

D

Dear Daughter,

I want you to understand the importance of daily devotion. It can be the Lord's prayer, a quote or a motivational speech. Let it be the start and end to your day. This daily devotion will allow you to stay focused on your dreams and provide a covering over you as you face each roadblock. This routine will help lead you in the right direction every time.

love you.

E

Dear Daughter,

The world has so much to offer, so enjoy your life and explore. Take your education serious but know that you can obtain an education beyond the four walls of a classroom. Anything and everything you need to know is available and within your reach. Empower others also to gain the knowledge and use it to better themselves and the future generations to come.

I love you.

F

Dear Daughter,

Family is your foundation and love holds us together. Family teaches you love, trust, understanding, and forgiveness. What you learn in our home will be the tools you will need out in the world. You come from a strong family, and we expect you to be fearless! Have faith that everything will work out no matter how ugly any situation may look. When all else fails, and there is nowhere to go or anyone to turn to just know that your faith will always carry you through.

I love you.

G

Dear Daughter,

You may find that you are good at so many things! However, be sure to find your true gift. Use your gift to be a blessing to others. Don't give only because that's what we taught you or because it's the right thing to do. Share and give because it's from your heart and it's what you love to do. Be a cheerful giver throughout your life and watch how much you grow. Always let your light shine, but never forget that to give is better than to receive.

I love you.

H

Dear Daughter,

Your health is very important, and it's not always about what you eat. Your physical, emotional, and mental state coincides with your overall health. Be mindful of the foods you eat, the thoughts you think and the words you say. Do, say and feel what makes you happy. However, I want you to know that words are potent, and they can be a blessing or a curse. You will eventually learn to make your own choices, and may your lifestyle and decisions lead you to eternal life in heaven!

I love you.

I

Dear Daughter,

I pray that you keep your innocence despite the world's heavy peer pressure on your shoulders. At all times look and act your age as this will help to protect you. You are no one's trophy, possession, slave, etc. You are a princess and from a family of royalty. Invest your time into teaching other young girls that they are precious in every way and to never take off their crown. Inspire them to stick together, uplift and encourage one another because you are all princesses and our future queens!

I love you.

J

Dear Daughter,

Find the joy in every single day you wake up. Be joyful in knowing that God has given you breath in your body and another chance to get it right. No matter what situation you face always remember that trouble doesn't last always, and joy comes in the morning!

I love you.

K

Dear Daughter,

Please be kind to others even if they are not always kind to you. As you get older, you will understand that some individuals are only acting or responding based on the behaviors they have learned. Sometimes it's truly not their fault. Study people and ethics, as this will help you to understand their actions rather than judging them. May you be blessed with the ability of compassion and understanding, but also the ability to stand firm and to not be a doormat. Knowledge is power and the more you know, the further you will go.

I love you.

L

Dear Daughter,

Life is what you make it! You are responsible for the choices you make. Always be true to yourself and enjoy life every step of the way. Of course, there will be sadness and heartbreak along the way, but remain strong and do not give up. Promise me that you will love overwhelmingly, laugh uncontrollably and live your life the best way you know how. Love is amazing; laughter is therapy and life is worth living!

I love you.

M

Dear Daughter,

Create a daily routine for yourself that consist of prayer and meditation. Start and end your day with a talk with God and a talk with yourself. There is absolutely nothing wrong with even a prayer or pep talk at any time of the day. It is important to motivate yourself daily because you must be your biggest supporter. You must believe in yourself first! This daily routine will become a movement that will become embedded in your life and serve as a powerful source for success.

I love you.

N

Dear Daughter,

I know there will be a time in your life when you may feel insecure about some things. I have been there before, and I know how you feel. I want you to learn how to nourish your insecurities with positive self-talk and positive actions. Those same insecurities will begin to change will begin to change into positive things. Never let your insecurities stand in the way of your potential greatness. Always know that you can turn a negative into a positive!

I love you.

O

Dear Daughter,

There will come a time when you may feel it is necessary to follow the crowd or you feel more comfortable doing what others are doing. And I know you may not always listen, and as a teenager, you may not always agree with me, but I just want to tell you to be original. You were made to be who you are, and you must have the self-confidence to believe that you are one of a kind and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Have the courage to remain faithful to yourself no matter how loud the noise of the world gets and how heavy the peer pressure becomes. Remember that being authentic can create opportunities for you in many aspects of life.

I love you.

P

Dear Daughter,

You were created for a purpose. You may not understand what it may be right away, but in time it will come to light, and you will know what you need to do to walk into your purpose. I really need you to understand that not everyone will support you and some people may be jealous of you and your future. There are also some people who are not meant to be by your side during the journey. There comes a time in life when we must distance ourselves from people or even remove them from our lives all together. That process will not be easy, but a good friend once told me, "You must protect your peace." Love yourself more than enough to know when to let go.

I love you.

Q

Dear Daughter,

You are my beautiful princess, and I love you so much. You wear a crown that represents value, virtue, and royalty. You have been created and raised by a generation of kings and queens who came before us. May you never remove your crown until it's time for an upgrade and that will be the day you transition into a queen! Always remember you are fearfully and wonderfully made and you should be proud to be a princess and a queen in the making!

I love you.

R

Dear Daughter,

I want you to understand that there are different types of relationships. I pray that you experience at least one friendship that will last a lifetime. I also pray that your soulmate will find you when the time is right and treats you like the queen that you are becoming. Respect all relationships that are created but learn the difference between a good relationship and a bad one. Learn when to fight for it, when to let go and that it will always be okay in the end. Remind yourself that you were special before this and you will be special after this. Trust me when I say that the rest will fall into place.

I love you.

S

Dear Daughter,

I wish I could tell you that life will be easy, but that's not always the case. There will be times when you will feel at your weakest, but I promise you during those times you will discover how strong you really are. You may not be able to smile during those times, but you will be proud once you made it through.

I love you.

T

Dear Daughter,

Always be thankful for everything that you have. For the little things, the big things, for love, family, your health and for it all! Take time out of each day to thank God for how much you appreciate him and the many blessings that he has given. Mommy and Daddy will not always be here physically, but we will always be in your heart and memories. Trust that God will always provide what you need and when you need it.

I love you.

U

Dear Daughter,

Everyone is not made the same, does not think the same and does not believe in the same things. You are unique and set apart from everyone else. Never be afraid to stand out. Be a leader and be confident in who you are. It's okay to be different, and I dare you to be! They call it an outcast, but I call it standing out! So, stand my beautiful princess! Stand strong and stand boldly!

I love you.

V

Dear Daughter,

I will tell you every day that you are a princess and you will be treated as such. We will teach you morals that you must also teach others. We will also teach you about virtue and how your body is a temple. I hope you can appreciate the values we teach you and that you will love, protect and take care of yourself without hesitation.

I love you.

W

Dear Daughter,

If you don't remember anything that we will teach you, please remember to know and value your worth. You are a precious gift, and you are worth more than anything that can be offered in this world. Knowing your worth will save you from unnecessary heartbreaks, disappointments, and regrets. Please remember that you cannot be bought and not just your body, but YOU are worth the wait. Love yourself first and watch the magic happen.

I love you.

X

Dear Daughter, Sometimes, in life we can get overwhelmed. There can be so much chaos that you may feel as if you can no longer function. I'm here to tell you that sometimes you just have to X some things out of your life. Whether it's people, places or things. You will have to learn how to adjust, think and move differently. If you want different results, you must take a new approach.

I love you.

Y

Dear Daughter,

You are responsible for your own success. You play many roles that can either defeat or elevate you to the next level. You must decide if you will be your biggest fan or your very own roadblock. You are the daughter of a king and queen, so we know that you will be great! The question is, do you believe?

I love you.

Z

Dear Daughter,

I pray that my zealousness will inspire you to live passionately and work hard for the things that you want in life. Although we have come to the last letter in the alphabet my words of inspiration will never end. I will forever continue to speak to you through words, hugs, songs, tears or whatever it may take. If I should leave this world before we can sit down and have a talk just know that I am already proud of you. Use this book as a guide throughout your life. If I am unable to be here physically, just listen carefully as you read, and you will forever hear my voice!

I love you.
