About the Author

Since his honorable discharge in 1971 from the United States Coast Guard, he has received degrees from SUNY Cobleskill and Cornell University. His first publication appeared in January of 1975 NYS Fish and Game Journal, “The First Known Observations of Rainbow Smelt in Lake George.” His introduction to writing fiction occurred with his father and mentor, Jack Gordon, author of The Land and the People as well as several other novels and numerous short stories. It is in good part due to Jack that his curiosity to know and understand the past resulted in this novel, the first in a series.
