Little Man in a Dog Suit: The Story of a Boston Terrier
How does your pet think? This book will tell you how one philosophic dog views his life and his humans. Reggie's life is full of adventure and reflections on the trials of a small dog who is a big dog at heart. He wants to imitate his master and does such a good job of it that he earned the name of "Little Man." He is fairly certain that he is more human than dog, but relishes his dog nature as much as his almost-human nature. His bad leg requires surgery and a long, painful recovery, but Reggie never complains or loses his sense of humor. Anyone who has ever known and loved a Boston Terrier will see in Reggie the essence of this brilliant, noble, and willful breed.

About the Author

B.R. Wilson has a thing for dogs. She has raised three gentle Bichon Frises, which didn't prepare her for her new husband's fierce little alpha, Reggie. She tries to walk her Bichons and Reggie at the same time, but it's too exhausting to do it often. Since she's a novelist by trade, she spends a lot of time trying to figure out why dogs do what they do, and feels that they almost communicate their thoughts to her. One of her books is about a dog Jesus might have owned and how this dog was a better disciple than all the humans around him. "Yeshua's Dog" is her favorite book, but "Little Man in a Dog Suit" is a close second. She believes animals can teach us more about how to live a life of unconditional love than we are likely to learn at church. But she goes to church anyway, and likes it a lot. She especially enjoys it when she can take her dogs there for a blessing on St. Francis's Day, but wonders if it isn't the dogs who bless us rather than the other way around.
