Dr. Jan Yager has been studying friendship since it was the topic of her sociology dissertation (CUNY Graduate Center). Her books on friendship including FRIENDSHIFTS: The Power of Friendship and How It Shapes Our Lives; WHEN FRIENDSHIP HURTS; 365 DAILY AFFIRMATIONS FOR FRIENDSHIP; FRIENDGEVITY; and PUTTING "When Friendship Hurts" to Work."

An Adjunct Associate Professor teaching sociology, criminology, and victimology courses at colleges and universities, Dr. Yager also speaks on friendship -- person and at work.
