Losing Your Mind and Getting it Back

Claire Shuttleworth is a scientist. In 1999 she was working at the cutting edge of artificial intelligence. Her fiancé Mark was a good electronics engineer but, he struggled to finish projects. He also struggled with relationships and making friends. Their son Connor was loved dearly by both of his parents. Their family unit was not perfect, but there was closeness and a lot of love.

In 2017 Claire's life to a turn for the worse, and although she carried on working, she felt like a zombie, and she was not coping. In 2018 Claire was retrenched.

But none of these events could prepare her for Mark's suicide and having to explain it to Connor.
