Overview

For most people, winning $300 million in the lottery would be enough. They would buy a big house, travel the world and retire. Not Benny. He decided to take the money and run ... for President. The house he had in mind was the White House. He didn't want to travel the world so much as save it ... from politicians. Retire? "I'll retire when I'm dead!" he would say, not realizing so many people had a retirement plan in mind that would make him very dead. Welcome to the world of politics, Benny.

About the Author

I was born the night after Halloween, a hundred miles inland from San Francisco. If that seminal event had occurred just one day earlier, I would have -- according to legend -- been able to "see and talk to spirits." Instead, I only hear voices. My one and only junior high school crush was born on Halloween, but I never learned the extent of her psychic abilities, if any.

My first critical acclaim occurred in high school when my creative writing teacher, upon reading our initial class assignment, praised my story's opening line: "The neighbor's yard looked like a three-day beard."

At this, my teacher laughed and said, "You may never write anything good again, but THAT is a great line!" I was very happy to hear this but, being a typical writer, I focused on the "... may never write anything good again ..."

So, I asked her about it during sex later that night ... Just kidding. I never asked her about it. I was also joking about hearing voices. I should probably mention my humor is sometimes difficult to detect.
