Love Yourself: It all begins with you: A personal guide on how to put purpose before relationships

BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP where either one of you knows who you are and what you are supposed to be doing in life can be a huge distraction. It takes a lot of energy to sustain a successful relationship. This energy could be invested in you becoming the best version of yourself. For ten years I put being in love with someone higher on my to do list than being in love with myself.

I did not know where to begin to look when it came to finding out where this behavior of playing second fiddle to my life was established and why I prioritized being in a relationship over my individual happiness. That all changed after a break-up when I decided I was going to love myself the same way I would love someone I was trying to impress. It was time to impress myself. First, I needed to be completely real with myself and answer truthfully some of the toughest questions about who I am. Questions I would normally be shy, embarrassed, or too prideful to answer. These answers led to the root of where I began to dig.

Using what I found, coupled with the eight undisputable universal laws I share in this book, I was able to structure a strategy that simply involved me getting out of my own way. And in just a matter of months, both my personal and professional life took off. I went from the man trying, to the man doing. 100% of my energy went towards me and who I wanted to become, which resulted in me landing deals and partnerships with the New York City Department of Education where I wrote a curriculum. I now provide mentorship to New York City inner-city youth and I surpassed over $150,000 in sales and services in just 3 years and counting.

In this book, I give you exactly what I did that kept me focused and disciplined. Being single and having time to grow and love yourself means nothing if you are not actually doing the work to grow and love yourself. It all begins with you. This is what I did that changed me following my dreams to me finding my purpose and changing the course of my life forever.
