It's a strip of uneven qualities, but I usually quite enjoy this unique and edgily funny strip about Rob and his two "pets", Satchel and Bucky, who are two of the most distinctive personalities in the comics. Satchel is a befuddled and genial shar-pei-lab, and Bucky is a self-centered Siamese who I don't think has ever had an altruistic moment since the strip started, but Rob still puts up with him and, I believe, loves him. Rob to Bucky: "Can you even IMAGINE a world where you don't try to kill and eat everything you see?" Bucky replies, "Well, I fail to see how letting everything I would kill sit there to rot solves anything."

"Get Fuzzy" is one of those strips that still provides me with laughs on a day when I'm feeling down and this collection is no exception. And while "Get Fuzzy" is no longer my favorite comic strip (sorry "Pearls Before Swine" and "Cul-de-sac" have moved to that spot) it is still one of my favorite series to read and provides some hilarious moments with Bucky and Satchel. This collection brings us such great moments as Bucky's off Broadway musical--Humans, the day Bucky finally outwitted Rob (it had to happen at some point right?), and the epic laying to rest of the Vasa (and the then epic flooding of the apartment.) You can't go wrong with picking up this collection.

Bucky, Satchel and Rob are funnier than they have ever been. Bucky runs the house with his crazy, right wing, nut job agenda(monkey hating is right wing, isn't it?). Satchel, the liberal, sweet, doe-eyed pooch just tries to make the world a better place. Poor Rob, the man of the house is really just along for the ride. he is forced to play straight man to the jokers who are his pets. Ridiculously funny! Darby Conley is absolutely brilliant with these characters.
