When her first husband died, leaving her with two daughters to raise, writing became a way to make a living, but she always recognized storytelling as a way to share her faith in God. This book had an old fashioned air about it, but it was refreshing. Friends are the first loves of your life. Christian romances are always sweet and clean. This once is a fine example of that. It is well written with an emotional build up, some suspense. I was sad to see it end.
