I'm a huge foodie, but with two toddlers, and little to no time, I had to find ways to cook meals that didn't take all day, and this cookbook was just what the doctor ordered. I was able to start using it right away, and although it still takes me more than five minutes, due to my 2 amazing toddlers, I am saving huge amounts of time in the kitchen. Michael Symon. I heart you.
If you are looking for creative, great tasting meals, you need to check out Michael Symon's book "5 in5". Simple to understand recipes with great tasting results...
Lots of "low-carb" options. I can't stop making the "Feta and Spinach Frittata!" ...don't forget, lots of fresh ground black pepper!
There are good recipes and they're easy to follow, but most are entrees. I wish there were more side dishes included.
What's not to like about Michael Symon and the whole Chew cast. Fun healthy and a great mixture of foods are in his book and on their show. Can't wait to try them all. I have almost lost my book twice once to my son and once to my sister so that says a lot.... fixing Pork Saltimbocca next with grilled peaches and honey sundae. Gotta go and start cooking.
